If the patient doesn't require an ambulance, get him/her to the emergency department at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center or the nearest hospital. If you need an ambulance, always call 911 for the fastest and safest response in the event of an emergency. Keep the person needing emergency assistance as still as possible. DO NOT MOVE THE PATIENT! Moving a patient without knowledge of his/her injuries could worsen the condition and chance of recovery. Keep the patient calm and wait for the EMS technicians to arrive. The dispatch operator will inform you with what to do to keep the patient comfortable as to assure the patient receives the best chance for a full recovery.

We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Carolina Health Specialists participates with many insurance companies including Medicare, BCBS, SC State Health Plan, NC and SC Medicaid, Cigna, Blue Choice, Carolina Care Plan, MedCost, CCNI First Health/Coventry, Beech Street, Premier, and Tricare. We will be happy to bill your insurance directly if we are a participating provider with your insurance plan.
