Dr. Mark Matthews received his Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine at Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Dr. Matthews completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University School of Medicine. He then returned to Penn State College of Medicine to do a fellowship in cardiovascular disease.
Dr. Mark Matthews is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC),
and a member of the Georgia Chapter of the American College of Cardiology, the Medical Association of Georgia, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, and the American Heart Association.
